LG AI Research, an organization dedicated to AI, has been launched to secure LG's AI talents and strengthen its capabilities. LG AI Research announced its first start by holding an opening ceremony and an AI talk concert on its YouTube channel for about two and a half hours from 10 a.m. on December 7. The launching event was carried out online under thorough quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Now, this is the online opening ceremony of LG AI Research and the AI talk concert.

The online opening ceremony of LG AI Research began with the keynote speech of head of LG AI Research, Kyunghoon Bae. Kyunghoon Bae presented a video of LG AI Research's vision and announced the purpose and direction of its launch. "The task of LG AI Research is to solve the challenges of affiliates in the group through AI research and seek new business opportunities through AI," he said. "We will create an environment where AI talents from around the world can gather and study freely to establish ourselves as a playground where AI researchers can solve various problems."

In fact, LG AI Research plans to attract the world's best talents by providing an independent personnel system, evaluation and compensation system based on expertise and competence, and providing exceptional treatment.
