The AI Graduate School Symposium, which marks its third anniversary since its inception in 2020, is an event hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT to enhance the performance of AI Graduate School project and add fresh fuel to the industry-academia cooperation in the field of AI. It is a meaningful opportunity for university professors and students affiliated with the AI Graduate School Council to get together and share their outstanding research outcomes and for AI graduate schools and participating companies to promote their activities in full swing. In particular, unlike the first and second events, during which participation was limited due to the pandemic, this year's event is expected to regain a new lease of life as it will be held at the COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul to welcome all visitors.
The 2022 AI Graduate School Symposium will begin with a keynote speech by Honglak Lee, Chief Scientist of AI (CSAI) at LG AI Research, under the theme of “Learning Representations of the World for Solving Complex Tasks.” Following the speech, a wide variety of programs such as the awards ceremony for the “AI Graduate School Challenge” jointly hosted by the LG AI Research and the Ministry of Science and ICT in July, presentations of cooperation cases studies and best practices (BPs) from AI Graduate School, and a poster session based on outstanding research outcomes of AI Graduate School will ensue.
During the event, there will be technology demonstrations and recruitment consultations of participating companies. LG Group plans to run a large-scale booth for its major affiliates, including LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Uplus, LG CNS, LG Energy Solution, LG Innotek, and LG Household & Health Care, as well as LG AI Research, to enrich the event.
The 2022 AI Graduate School Symposium is set to be held at the COEX Grand Ballroom for two days from Thursday, August 18th to Friday, 19th. Anyone with an interest will be welcome to pre-register by 4 PM on August 16th through the link from the introduction or down below. Only on-site registration is available after the pre-registration period. We look forward to your continued support and active participation in the symposium, an event that will provide various information on AI.
