‘LG Aimers’ the AI Expert program for young generation
The LG Aimers program was launched by LG in the second half of 2022 to train young AI experts in improving young adult employment rates and addressing the shortage of human resources in the AI field. The 4th LG Aimers program was designed to build real-world AI capabilities through a month-long course of 33 core theoretical lectures created by LG with help from top AI experts in Korea. These lectures included AI ethics, traditional statistics-based approaches, AI technologies that reflect the latest trends, and domain knowledge to solve Hackathon problems. The participants then used this knowledge to participate in a Hackathon to gain practical experience.

These students then participated in the offline Hackathon from April 6th to 7th. The Hackathon gave participants the chance to work with real-world data from LG’s affiliates in the industry. In one particular problem entitled, “Developing a forecasting AI model that utilizes potential customer data to identify customers with high potential to make a purchase,” they learned how to develop an AI model based on data analysis to make knowledgeable future predictions.
