Day 2 of the LG AI Talk Concert 2026 was centered around the theme: "How AI moves beyond simple R&D to transform actual industrial sites and the everyday work of individual employees."
The event featured an in-depth lineup covering the journey of our AI and its future directions, a live Q&A session capturing voices from the field, global AI ecosystem trends, and real-world EXAONE-based products designed to directly assist employees with their work.

In the first session, LG AI Research reflected on its journey and initial reflections since launch, highlighting the tangible shifts created by its technology across operational fields and business ecosystems.

In his keynote speech, Woohyung Lim, Head of LG AI Research, shared the institute's forward-looking vision for next-generation AI, anchored in the Expert AI achievements realized so far.
"Our AI started from a commitment to solving complex, real-world challenges in industrial environments. Grounded in the advanced capabilities we have accumulated, we will now evolve into next-generation foundation models that maximize field efficiency and complete autonomous industrial ecosystems."

In the second session, Honglak Lee, Head and CSAI of LG AI Research, and Woohyung Lim, Head of LG AI Research, took the stage to take questions directly from LG Group affiliate employees and share deep operational insights.
A wide range of insightful questions was raised—spanning practical on-the-ground concerns such as LG’s unique competitiveness in the global AI race and collaboration across LG affiliates, as well as hurdles in AI adoption and visions for future partnership. In response, the two Directors outlined the Institute’s technical trajectory and practical support measures, effectively bridging the gap with the field.
Global AI Market Trends and Opportunities for Korea
The third session focused on benchmark and evaluation methodologies—answering the question of "which models truly excel, and how can we objectively measure and compare them?" in a rapidly evolving global AI market where new models emerge daily.

He shared key insights into global AI trends while offering sharp perspectives on the current positioning of Korean AI models on the world stage and the opportunities ahead.

In the subsequent special session, Kijeong Jeon, Lead of Product Unit, delivered solutions on how massive AI technology trends practically translate into "how AI assists my individual work."
Kijeong Jeon, discussed the strategic direction and operational considerations for EXAONE-based services. Notably, he presented ChatEXAONE, an in-house work agent powered by the EXAONE LLM. Designed to enhance productivity within PC environments, ChatEXAONE provides key capabilities including document creation, RAG-enabled enterprise data retrieval, code generation, and data analytics. He also presented EXAONE Data Foundry, a high-quality data auto-generation and evaluation platform created to address the heavy resources and manpower traditionally required for model performance validation and domain-specific data curation. He highlighted ongoing collaborations with major institutions and enterprises, including LG Energy Solution and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, to continually refine model performance.

Dedicated interactive exhibition spaces were set up across the venue, offering attendees the opportunity to directly test and engage with EXAONE-based technologies and solutions.
Individual interactive booths were operated for EXAONE Business Intelligence, a specialized financial solution offering integrated data analysis, reasoning, and prediction; EXAONE Tabular, a domain-specific model for manufacturing process optimization and tabular data prediction; EXAONE Data Foundry, which demonstrated high-quality data generation and evaluation frameworks; EXAONE Discovery, assisting new material and drug discovery in chemistry and biotech; and EXAONE Omni-Inspect, a vision inspection agent detecting visual changes without re-training. Additionally, an EXAONE Showroom interactive booth was featured to provide a comprehensive view of core solutions, drawing strong engagement from visitors. In addition, the EXAONE Showroom booth was set up to offer a hands-on experience of key solutions at a glance, drawing an enthusiastic response from attendees across various LG entities, including LG Electronics, LG Energy Solution, and LG CNS.
A participant from an affiliate stated, "It was truly impressive to see EXAONE-based solutions intuitively solve real-world challenges at the booth. I am eager to integrate this technology into my actual workflow as soon as possible."
The LG AI Talk Concert 2026 Day 2 was a comprehensive showcase of AI’s present and future—spanning keynotes on macro global AI trends, product launches ready for immediate workplace integration, interactive EXAONE experience booths, and onsite events.
LG AI Research will continue its momentum with EXAONE and EXAONE-based products, driving innovation beyond research and into our daily work and lives.
